بالساتلايتات يخطر ببالنا بتلك الأشياء التي تدور حول الأرض في
محاور ولها علاقة بالتلفاز
والهواتف المتحركة. قررت كتابة هذا المقال لتبسيط الفائدة من الساتلايتات.
كلمة ساتلايت
تعود لأصل الكلمة العربية "ساتل" التي تعني تابع. لذلك يأتي معناها
بالشيء الذي يدور حول شيء أكبر (يتمحور) مثال: القمر هو ساتل طبيعي للأرض. لكل
الساتلايتات كما نعرفها اليوم هي أجهزة من صنع البشر أرسلت لتدور في محور الأرض,
الزهرة, المريخ..الخ
قبل استعمال
الساتلايتات , كان إرسال القنوات التلفازية سيء و لم تكن تذهب لمسافات بعيدة حيث
تصدم بالجبال أو الأبنية الشاهقة أحيانا. الهواتف المتحركة أيضا لم تكن موجودة
وأجراء مكالمة هاتفية يكلف الكثير حيث أنه من الصعب توصيل الأسلاك لمسافات شاسعة أو
تحت المياه. ساعدت الساتلايتات حل هذه المشاكل حيث أن الإرسال يذهب من الأرض إلى
الساتلايت و يرجع إلى الأرض مرة أخرى إلى أماكن بعيدة متفرقة. اليوم الساتلايتات
تساعد على تقديم العديد من الخدمات مثل خدمات الانترنت, خدمات الهواتف المتحركة, الراديو,
التلفاز, والملاحة. وتساعد أيضا العلماء في بحوثهم بإرسالها للفضاء لتدور حول
الكواكب, الأقمار أو الشمس.
أول ساتلايت
أرسل إلى الفضاء كان في سنة 1957 من الاتحاد السوفيتي وكان اسمه سبوتنيك 1. وكالة
ناسا أرسلت العديد من الساتلايتات إلى الفضاء وأولها اكسبلورر 1 في عام 1958. أيضا
الدول العربية أرسلت بعض الساتلايتات إلى الفضاء: المملكة العربية السعودية أرسلت
عربسات 1 في عام 1985 الجمهورية المصرية أرسلت نايلسات 101 في عام 1998, الإمارات
العربية المتحدة أرسلت الثريا 1 في عام 2000, المملكة المغربية أرسلت
ماروكوتيوبسات في عام 2001, والجزائر أرسلت السات1 في عام 2002
When we think about satellites we think about those objects that goes around Earth in orbits and it has to do with TV or Cell phones. I decided to write this post to simplify the use of satellites.
The word "satellite" actually comes from the Arabic word "ساتل" "Satel" which means a follower. So, the word Satellite means an object going around (orbiting ) another larger object. For example, the moon is a natural satellite for Earth. But the satellites as we know them are machines made by people to send them orbiting around Earth, Venus, Mars..etc
Before the satellites were used , the TV signals were very bad as the signals go straight but Earth is round so the signals did not go for long distance as they hit mountains or high buildings sometimes. Cell phones did not exist too and the phones calls was very expensive to make and not for very far as it is also very hard to setup wires for long distance and underwater. The satellites helped fixing those issues as those signals goes from Earth to the satellite and then back to Earth again in different far places. Today the satellites help giving a lot of services such as internet access, cell phones services, radio, television, and navigation. It also helps scientist doing their researches by sending them to space orbiting around planets, moon or the Sun.
The first satellite sent to space was in 1957 by the Soviet Union and was called Sputnik 1. NASA sent many satellites to space and their first satellite was called Explorer 1 sent in 1958. Arab countries also sent some satellites to space; KSA sent Arab-sat 1 in 1985, Eygpt sent Nile-sat 101 in 1998, UAE sent Thuraya 1 in 2000, Morocco sent Moroc-tubesat in 2001 and Algeria sent Al Sat 1 in 2002.
